Going for green

Our surroundings are vital to our success, and for the team behind Setia City Mall, there is no higher priority than creating a shopping destination that is socially and environmentally sustainable.

That's why the project is targeting Green Mark certification. We're also partnering with the Malaysian Green Building Index to help develop an efficient method of evaluating sustainable retail developments in Malaysia.

Numerous sustainable features are currently being considered for implementation at Setia City Mall, including:

• Efficient chiller plant
• Energy efficient light fixtures
• Natural day light maximised in the design
• Insulation
• 50% reduction in water use through efficient fittings
• Rainwater harvesting for toilets and irrigation
• Recycled and locally sourced materials for construction
• 2% of energy consumption from solar energy
• Green leases
